The gorgeous building houses the amusement centre, Barry's. It first opened in Portrush in 1926, after members of two circus families - Evelyn Chipperfield and Francesco Trufelli - met in Ireland and later married. Many generations of children enjoyed the thrills of the various rides, from the helter-skelter to the roller coaster, eating candy floss and ice cream. Almost 100 years later, it was bought over by Curry's, another local amusement centre.
